    Situated just outside Paris, the Seine-et-Marne is endowed with an internationally renowned cultural and architectural heritage. For that reason, six outstanding sites have come together under the label "Paris PLUS" in order to offer the very best of our department:

• Fontainebleau, 8 centuries of history in its chateau, a full sized forest and a wealth of equine activities
• Melun, the heart of Brie, a town between the river Seine and the forest
• Moret Seine et Loing, heritage right in the heart of the countryside
• Provins, the medieval city, a UNESCO World Heritage site
• The Chateau of Vaux le Vicomte, the French XVIIth century masterpiece
